Actuarial Documents are public record documents that detail the data that is used to determine crop insurance premiums and other details of crop histories on a county and state level.

Actuarial Documents are public record documents that detail the data used to determine:

  • premium rates
  • premium adjustment percentages
  • particular varieties of the insurable crop
  • insurable acreages

and other related information regarding crop insurance or other risk management plans of insurance within the county r the state.

The official blurb contain in the Code of Federal Records says:

According to 7 CFR 400.701 [Title 7—Agriculture; Subtitle B — Regulations of the Department of Agriculture; Chapter IV — Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, Department of Agriculture; Part 400 — General Administrative Regulations; Subpart V — Submission of Policies, Provisions of Policies and Rates of Premium], actuarial documents refers to “the material for the crop or insurance year which is available for public inspection in your agent’s office and published on RMA’s website at http://www.rma.usda.gov/, or a successor website, and which shows available coverage levels, information needed to determine premium rates, premium adjustment percentages, practices, particular types or varieties of the insurable crop or agricultural commodity, insurable acreage or commodities, and other related information regarding crop insurance or other risk management plans of insurance in the county or state.”
