We Are Serious About Site Security
(A Few Useful Tips)
At Ag Risk Management & Insurance, we maintain very high security standards and use countermeasures to ensure that your personal and financial data remain confidential. We use a full time SSL encrypted protocol for all our web traffic, not just for confidential information. Notice the little lock symbol in the address bar at the top.
For security purposes, AgRM&I monitors traffic on its website to identify unauthorized attempts to upload things or change information or otherwise cause damage. Such attempts are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the law.
Site Security Measures
- We use technology and processes to keep unauthorized people from gaining access to your personal information. We rigorously keep all operating software used to serve this web site up to date.
- Our systems limit online account access to those using the proper username and password associated with your account(s). We do not store the passwords in a form that can be read by humans. So, we cannot tell you your password if you forget it, We can only reset it. That is a good thing.
- We will never contact you and ask for your username, password or other personally identifiable information. Once you have registered with us, we have everything we need. Anyone who asks for that sort of information, claiming to be from any website, is a fraud.
- Firewalls keep our public web servers separate from the servers that contain your account and personal data which are not directly accessible from the Internet.
- We use encryption technology that allows for the protection of data in transit between your computer and our systems. Again, the entire site is encrypted.
- If your secure session is inactive for a predetermined period of time (e.g., you forget to log out), the secure session will automatically log off for you.
Email Encryption
Emails sent from AgRM&I that contain sensitive information are generally encrypted to ensure your privacy. This includes emails with attachments that contain sensitive information such as credit reports, loan documents and wire transfer documents. If you receive an encrypted email from AgRM&I, you will need to log into a separate system to receive your message. Examples of sensitive information include:
- Social security numbers
- Tax identification numbers
- Credit card numbers
